Pirates pre-season clearout has officially begun with the club announcing the departures of Jackson Mabokgwane, Thabo Qalinge and Ayanda Nkosi.
The club are set to return to training this weekend as they begin their preparations for what promises to be a big season for coach Milutin Sredojevic and his technical team.
Prior to getting things underway, the likes of Mabokgwane, Qalinge and Nkosi, who was on loan at Jomo Cosmos last season, have all been deemed surplus to requirements with their contracts having come to an end.
The Buccaneers also confirmed the release of Abbubaker Mobara, who has already been snapped up by Cape Town City on a free transfer.
With the season just over six weeks away from kick-off, it is expected more players are set to depart the Houghton-based outfit, as they also continue to bring in new faces ahead of a grueling campaign.
Pirates will contest all four domestic competitions while juggling the CAF Champions League schedule that will for the first time run parallel to the PSL calendar.
